How to Download and Use BionX Dealer Interface Software

If you own a BionX electric bike or are looking for BionX parts, you may have heard of the BionX dealer interface software, also known as BBI. This software allows you to connect your computer to your bike components via a USB to CAN bus converter called BIB. With BBI, you can diagnose, update, customize and troubleshoot your BionX system.

However, since BionX went bankrupt in 2018, the official BBI software is no longer functional due to the internet portal server shut down. Fortunately, there are some modified and offline versions of BBI that you can download and use without an internet connection. In this article, we will show you how to download and use BionX dealer interface software.

Step 1: Get a BIB - BionX Interface Box

The first thing you need is a BIB - BionX Interface Box. This tool is a USB to CAN bus converter that allows you to connect your computer to your bike components. You can buy a BIB from BX Legacy, a website that sells many BionX parts directly bought from the 2018 sale process. The price of a BIB is $99.99 CAD.

Alternatively, you can try to find a BIB from other sources, such as eBay or local bike shops that used to sell BionX products. However, be aware that the availability and quality of these products may vary.

Step 2: Download and Install BBI Software

The next thing you need is the BBI software. As mentioned earlier, the official BBI software is not working anymore, so you need to download a modified and offline version of it. There are several sources where you can find such versions, such as:

Step 3: Connect Your Bike Components to Your Computer

Now that you have both the BIB and the BBI software installed on your computer, you are ready to connect your bike components to your computer. To do this, follow these steps:
