What I learned over the years of working for myself

Before I can dive into the lessons I learned, I feel like you should have an idea of how I got to where I am in this season of my life and why it seems like the right time to share my story.

I'll give it to you quick and dirty - the details aren't as important as painting the picture of my experiences up through this point and give context for what I plan share with you in future posts.

Ready? The one thing that you'll want to know about me is I am driven and resourceful. I can (and will) find the answers to a question, teach myself a new skill or find the best resource to help myself or someone else grow in some way. In short, I'm a collector of information and I love to share.

I started working for myself after a pretty intense work situation made it so that working for someone else was just not in the cards (at least for a while).

Over the years, I have operated a home based bakery (my first & favorite of the businesses), run an online clothing boutique, operated a bookkeeping service, worked as a virtual assistant and dabbled in many different network marketing companies (we will get into that more later, but I'll say this, while I am a huge supporter of social selling - not all companies are created equal and finding the right fit for you is key).

These each needed a very different set of skills, tools and practices to develop and implement, so, as you can imagine - my collection has grown. From taking better pictures, creating better graphics for social media, managing my time a little better and utilizing technology to show up as the most put together small business owner as you can.

Does any of this sound like you? I'd love it if you commented on this post and shared with me a little about you and what you have going on that relates to where I've been.

I've recently learned that there is alot that I have to offer people that might be somewhere along a similar path! So here we are and I plan to do just that.

I'm excited that you're here and can't wait to share every little nugget I've picked up along the way, if I can help just one of you show a little better, get back a little time or move the meter in some way that matters to you the most - it's all worth it.

Before you go, make sure we have connected on Instagram! I love connecting with new people and this is the best way I can learn what other areas I may be able to support you better.

Make sure you have subscribed to the blog so that you don't miss out on any little goodie I drop along the way.

See you around soon! I've got so much good stuff headed your way.
